The Solaris 50 elegantly combines stunning good looks, luxurious cruising comfort and high performance, push button sailing into one superbly designed and built package. With all control lines led aft under deck, flush mounted hatches and a self-tending, non-overlapping jib, the teak decks are uncluttered and completely unobstructed. Four electric winches mounted ahead of the twin wheels provide effortless sail handling without leaving the cockpit. A powerful Hall Spars Carbon Fiber mast, wide roller furling boom and under-deck Harken jib furling enhance the sail handling package. The permanent sprit forward stows the anchor ahead of the bow and provides for a code zero or asymmetric spinnaker tack well forward of the headstay. A deep, fin-bulb keel and high aspect single rudder complement her thoroughbred hull form.
In addition to the steering and sail handling stations aft, the cockpit boasts a large entertainment area with thick padded seating and a fixed, drop-leaf table for comfort under way and entertaining. A dodger protects the cockpit while cruising but the bows neatly fold and stow in a special deck compartment for racing or good weather sailing.
Below decks, light woods and fabrics give the spacious interior a cheery and open look. A large salon with dining table, functional galley and loads of storage can accommodate food and supplies for extended cruising. The owner’s cabin forward boasts a queen sized pullman berth and ensuite head with separate shower. There are two mirror-image guest cabins aft as well as a second head with shower.
The boat is powered by a 75HP Volvo diesel mated to a sail drive with three bladed Gori folding prop. For ease of docking there is a retractable bow thruster.
This Solaris 50 and will appeal to the most discerning sailor. Please see the full equipment details provided in the Information and Features section of this listing.
