Further Price reduction 4/15/24-Now $339,000! Brand new standing rigging, 140% Genoa, Mercury 5hp propane outboard and stainless gas barbecue grill just added! Vessel was hauled, pressure washed and anodes replaced! Engine and generator serviced!  Ready for cruising anywhere in the world!

Arguably one of Robert Perry's most beautiful designs, the Tayana 52 DS is a capable, fast and comfortable ocean cruising yacht. One of the more recent versions of this design, this 2007 model has nearly zero exterior teak to maintain (with the exception of the cockpit area). Instead of the teak cap rails there is an aluminum toe rail and continuous1 1/4" stainless rails in lieu of lifelines for safety. Serenity is very well equipped for short or long distance voyaging with one or two couples or a family.

She boasts electric winches and roller furling boom and headsails for nearly effortless, push-button sail handling. A bow thruster makes short-handed docking much easier.

Her current and previous owners have lavished her with the attention and maintenance she has required. She has circled the globe once with her previous owners between 2009 and 2015 but you would never know it; her finishes and appearance show minimal wear and tear.

She just returned from the yard where all of the standing rigging was replaced including new headstay and inner forestay and new backstay with insulators for HF radio antenna use. A new 140% reefable dacron genoa has been ordered and is forthcoming. This work alone represents almost $30,000 in upgrades. New owners can buy with confidence they won't need to replace rigging for quite some time!

In January she had full engine and genset maintenance completed, batteries and inverter checked, bilge pumps services and one replaced, and a few other minor issues repaired. A new 5hp Mercury Propane outboard dinghy motor was added to the inventory.

Previously in excess of $125,000 was spent making ready for another extended ocean voyage. In preparation for that trip they have gone through the entire boat and repaired or upgraded many systems including: new radar and plotter, wind instruments, NMEA 2000 backbone and interfaces, dodger and bimini, engine mounts, raw water pump and alternator, toilet pumps, entertainment systems, 120V shore power systems, new halyard shieves, storm trysail, new Selden vang, new primary ground tackle.

A change of plans has caused them to make the difficult decision to cancel their voyage and sell the boat. If you've been dreaming of an ocean sailing voyage but haven't found the right boat, look no further. She is lying in Bremerton awaiting your inspection.

Accommodations-interior

Very comfortable two stateroom layout. The interior woodwork and finishes are in excellent condition with minimal wear and tear. The interior is bright and airy with 15 opening ports and 5 opening deck hatches. Visibility is excellent because of the deck salon design.

Forward stateroom has queen sized pullman berth with ample hanging lockers and bins. Forward head compartment has Vacuflush toilet, separate shower and opening ports.

Master stateroom is aft with walk around queen bed, port and starboard seats, voluminous storage in lockers and bins. Aft head is very large with separate stall shower, vacuflush toilet and good ventilation. There is a large engine room access door here.

Salon has circular dinette to port with large table. To starboard is a settee long enough for comfortable sleeping. The navigation station is factory custom with a raised chart table and seat for excellent visibility. Electrical panels and most electrical controls and gauges reside here. This space has very nice lockers and bookshelves all around.

Galley occupies the passageway along the port side of the cockpit. This arrangement makes for a highly useable, comfortable and functional galley while at sea. There is full standing headroom with counters and lockers on both sides. The propane range is gimballed. There are double sinks with covers, salt and fresh water pumps and a microwave oven. Two top and front loading refrigerator/freezer compartments have Grunert holding plates. There are three large doors here to allow excellent engine access.

Overall the interior has plenty of room and privacy for two couples, or a family, for long or short voyages.

Accommodations-Exterior

Center cockpit layout with full length port and starboard 1 1/4" stainless double life rails and custom stainless arch work aft makes for unusually secure and useable exterior spaces.

Cockpit has full instrumentation, pedestal steering and comfortable cushions. There is a folding teak Edson table for outside dining. The cockpit is completely covered for sun or rain with canvas work that is only one season old. Electric halyard and primary winches, in boom furling and roller furling headsails make for nearly effortless push-button sailing. There are nice speakers for lounging and listening, and a 12V outlet for charging your tablet or phone.

The aft deck has two large deck lockers, propane and fuel storage locker, outboard motor crane and storage, and integrated dinghy davits. The Achilles RIB and 5hp outboard reside here. There is a brand new transom shower with hot and cold fresh water. Solar panels are overhead. There are two seats built in to the aft pulpit as well as two elevated seats on top of the arch. This is a great space for fishing, grilling, swimming, or just hanging out enjoying the sights.

Moving forward from the cockpit on deck is safe and secure with the aforementioned tubular life rails, wide weather decks and lots of handholds. Port and starboard mast pulpits allow for safe work at the mast no matter what the heel angle. There is a sail locker just aft of the staysail tack that is accessed via a large deck hatch. This locker is large enough for the spinnaker, numerous lines, and fenders while under way. The chain locker is easily accessed from this space.

The anchor windlass has two complete chain and rope rodes, and two anchors stowed in the dual anchor rollers ready for deployment. The deck wash system has a threaded hose fitting on the foredeck for attachment of a hose to wash the chain as it's raised. There is also a hose outlet aft.

As with the interior, the exterior of the boat is in excellent condition with minimal wear and tear. This is truly an amazing sailing platform that will carry you in comfort and safety anywhere in the world.
